On the night of 15 September, the AMIC ENERGY petrol station network’s data centre was damaged as a result of an enemy attack. This is not the first strike against the company’s infrastructure since the start of the full-scale war; petrol stations and other facilities within the network have previously come under attack.
Despite this, the AMIC ENERGY petrol station network continues to operate steadily and supply fuel across Ukraine. At the same time, due to damage to part of the IT infrastructure at some stations, there may be temporary difficulties with cashless payments, and the loyalty programme is currently unavailable. The company states that it is doing everything possible to minimise inconvenience to customers and to restore services as quickly as possible.
The company has put in place a compensation scheme for customers making purchases whilst these technical restrictions are in place. To benefit from this, customers must provide their contact details to the petrol station attendant. Once the loyalty programme is restored, all purchases will be taken into account, and customers will be fully compensated for any discounts and bonuses they may have missed out on.
“The company’s technical specialists are already working to restore the damaged systems. We expect to have fully rectified the consequences of the attack by the end of the week. At the same time, the damage affects only part of the technical infrastructure and has not impacted the supply or sale of fuel. The network continues to operate and serve customers,” AMIC ENERGY stated.
