On 17 June 2025, AMIC ENERGY Managing Director Günter Maier spoke at the Petroleum Ukraine.Warsaw’25 industry conference dedicated to Ukraine’s national energy security and the role of petroleum products in ensuring it during wartime. AMIC ENERGY was one of the key companies that shared its experience in adapting, developing and supporting the fuel infrastructure during russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
In his presentation, Günter Maier outlined the main stages of the company's activities over the past ten years and emphasised AMIC ENERGY's practical contribution to ensuring the country's energy security. The company owns the fifth largest network of petrol stations in Ukraine and continues to develop it even in wartime. By the end of 2025, the total investment in the Ukrainian market will reach 47 million euros.
Despite the war, AMIC ENERGY has not ceased its activities in Ukraine. As a result of the hostilities, 37 of the company's facilities have been destroyed or damaged, and another 19 stations remain in the temporarily occupied territories.
AMIC ENERGY pays special attention to supporting Ukrainian society. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has provided assistance worth over 128 million hryvnias. The focus is on supplying drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, transferring fuel to the army, the State Emergency Service, the police and civil defence, humanitarian initiatives, as well as charitable and cultural projects, such as the charitable initiative ‘Unbreakable Coffee’ and support for the ‘Austrian Film Week’ festival.
During his speech, Günter Maier repeatedly emphasised Ukraine's investment attractiveness and readiness for continued support: ‘We believe that after the war ends, Ukraine will develop very quickly, and we will work hard to improve and maintain our network in the best possible condition.’
AMIC ENERGY's participation in Petroleum Ukraine.Warsaw'25 was further proof that responsible business can play a key role in shaping the country's sustainable energy system, demonstrating both practical readiness for challenges and a strategic vision for the development of the fuel sector in the context of war and post-war recovery.
