The 14th Austrian Film Week in Ukraine has brought together contemporary European cinema, cultural dialogue and charity. Read the Ukrainian Pravda. Life article to find out how the festival is uniting audiences in support of Ukrainians.

The festival is organised by the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine in cooperation with the film company “Arthouse Traffic”, with the support of the general partner — the Austrian gas station chain AMIC ENERGY.

As in previous years, the festival has a charitable component: proceeds from ticket sales are doubled by AMIC ENERGY and donated to support Ukrainians. This year, a donation of 212,576 UAH is being directed to Superhumans — a Ukrainian centre that helps military personnel and civilians affected by the war to progress from treatment and rehabilitation back to an active life.

Special film screenings were also held at Superhumans as part of the festival. These served as yet another example of how art can bring comfort to people for whom support and recovery are of particular importance today.

This year’s support for Superhumans as part of the festival was a continuation of AMIC ENERGY’s wider collaboration with the rehabilitation centre. The company had previously announced the purchase of equipment for upper and lower limb rehabilitation worth 3.6 million UAH, which will help the centre strengthen its rehabilitation services and treat more patients.
