Austrian gas station chain AMIC ENERGY announced that Audrius Stropus, CEO of AMIC UKRAINE CFI, will be succeeded by Gintaras Macijauskas.

Gintaras Macijauskas is a highly qualified top manager with more than 20 years of international experience in the industry of petroleum products and logistics, with a successful career in management positions in different countries, including Finland, Russia and Lithuania.

Gintaras Macijauskas spent a significant part of his career at Neste, one of the largest Finnish companies, where he played a key role in business development in the Baltic region. After successful results in Lithuania, Gintaras was sent to coordinate the company's exit from the market and the sale of the Neste St. Petersburg business.

From August 2021, before joining AMIC, Gintaras managed a state-owned company in Lithuania - Susisiekimo Paslaugos, engaged in public transport management and mobility infrastructure development in Vilnius.

Boyden Global Executive Search, a leading international executive recruitment firm, was approached to find a candidate for the position of CEO at AMIC Ukraine. Boyden was selected as a trusted partner for the international search, supporting and accompanying each stage of the hiring process.

BOYDEN AUSTRIA and BOYDEN UKRAINE offices were directly involved in the search and selection process covering the countries of central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic and the Adriatic. Top managers from Poland, Bulgaria, Singapore, Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey and the UK reached the final stages of the competition.

Under the leadership of the new CEO, AMIC Ukraine will continue to support the country in the future, because a conscious and efficient business is obliged to help in the fight against the aggressor country.

“The selection process for the CEO position was extremely competitive, and we are pleased that we were able to have a professional of international level despite the unprecedentedly difficult security situation in the country,” said Oleksii Dolhikh, Managing Partner of Boyden Ukraine. “Gintaras Macijauskas has significant experience in the industry and has worked in various countries.”

“To lead AMIC ENERGY in Ukraine is an honor, a professional challenge and a great responsibility in implementing the development strategy of a transparent and efficient company with European standards of business conduct and quality of customer service,” said Gintaras Macijauskas “Today's realities in which Ukrainians live are tough. However, after talking with employees and customers, I realized what a great role gas stations and convenience stores play in the daily life of Ukraine. My goal is to ensure consistent growth and implement innovative solutions at AMIC Ukraine that will enhance the quality of service for our customers.”

In times of war, it is difficult to resist and even to develop a business. Gintaras' experience in both the public and private sectors would have a great contribution to the development of AMIC ENERGY in Ukraine. We are confident that the positive growth dynamics of AMIC Ukraine and the contribution of our business to the inevitable victory of Ukraine will continue under the leadership of the new CEO.
