AMIC ENERGY shareholders Günter Mayer and Andreas Zernetz gave an interview to Channel 24, in which they shared their vision of the company's development in Ukraine, talked about the challenges of a full-scale war, assistance to the state and participation in cultural initiatives.
The conversation with the journalists focused on how AMIC ENERGY not only maintains its presence in the Ukrainian market, but also actively develops its network of petrol stations, supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine, invests in infrastructure modernisation and fulfils its obligations to the state. In 2024, the company paid more than UAH 2.5 billion in taxes and fees, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion – more than UAH 5.4 billion.
"We are a large employer in Ukraine, and this is also good for paying taxes. In 2024, we paid a total of €58 million in taxes. This is UAH 2.5 billion. And I believe that this contributes to the support of the Ukrainian state," explained Günter Maier.
AMIC ENERGY also once again became the general partner of the Austrian Film Week in Ukraine. This project has become an important component of cultural diplomacy, as it helps to strengthen ties between Ukraine and Austria even in difficult times. Supporting culture is part of the company's long-term strategy in Ukraine – despite all the challenges. AMIC ENERGY continues to invest in socially important initiatives and develop its business.
"There are things we are very proud of. If you look at the fuel market in Ukraine in 2024, you will see that it was falling, but AMIC ENERGY showed a 10% increase by 2023, which is the highest figure in the market among large petrol station chains," Andreas Sernetz said.
