13th Austrian Film Week

2025-03-19

AMIC Energy once again supports the 13th Austrian Film Week, which will kick off on April 10 at the Zhovten Cinema in Kyiv and run until April 15. The festival will then travel to Chernivtsi (April 30 – May 4) and Lviv (May 15 – 18).

This year’s program features five Austrian films that have already received recognition at prominent international film festivals such as Berlinale, Venice Film Festival, and Locarno.

In addition to traditional screenings in cinemas, the festival will also include free online screenings of previous festival films on the MEGOGO platform from April 3 to May 4. This will allow a broader audience to enjoy Austrian cinema, regardless of their location.

After the festival, AMIC Energy, as the general partner, will once again donate an amount equivalent to the festival's box office revenue to support Ukraine in its fight against aggression.

Films featured in the program:

  • "Peacock", directed by Bernhard Wenger – the story of Matthias, a master of transformation, who can play any role, but the hardest part is being himself.

  • "Dear Beautiful Beloved", directed by Yuriy Rechynsky – ф cinematic chronicle about Ukrainians finding strength in small acts of care amidst an ongoing state of emergency.

  • "Stewed Pork", directed by Andreas Schmidt – a detective thriller about uncovering the corruption of a politician with many skeletons in his closet.

  • "How to Be Normal and Peculiarities of Another World", directed by Florian Pochlatko – a psychological drama about a woman trying to rebuild her life after leaving a psychiatric hospital.

"Welcome Back, Baby", directed by Andreas Prochaska – a haunting thriller about a woman confronting her dark past and unraveling the mysteries of her ancestral home.
